Episode 245: Invisible Barriers in STEM Education

About the chapter

The Florida SSN chapter launched in 2017 to build more connections between local scholars, civic leaders, policymakers, and journalists. Our members are particularly interested in immigration policy, environmental policy, health care, poverty, and current trends in race and ethnic inequality.

"As a state legislator and a doctoral student at UCF, I know there are disconnects between research and policy making; it's great to have the opportunity to show researchers how their work can support our efforts in Tallahassee to craft and pass policy that supports everyone."
