"“I’m Not Going to Die from the AIDS”: Resilience in Aging with HIV Disease" (with Charles A. Emlet and Victoria H. Raveis). The Gerontologist 51, no. 1 (2011): 101-111.

Explores how older adults living with HIV/AIDS experience resilience and draw on personal strengths to cope with the disease. Identifies seven key themes of resilience: self-acceptance, optimism, will to live, generativity, self-management, relational living, and independence. Findings highlight the significance of these strengths in promoting well-being, suggesting the need for further research and practical approaches to assess and support resilience in this population.
