Pixie W. Popplewell

Popplewell (they/fae) is the project director of the California Homeless Youth Project. They are a DSW candidate at the University of Southern California and received their MSW from California State University, Sacramento. Fae created California’s first integrative data hub on the current state of youth homelessness and coauthored a peer-reviewed article centering youth participatory action research and homelessness. Popplewell received the 2025 Mark Pearlman Outstanding Service Award and is the 2025 Grand Challenges of Social Work Achieve Equal Opportunity and Justice Doctoral Award Fellow for their capstone proposal focusing on information access for the Queer community.
