About Monica

Rossi's research focuses on health equity and the design of the built environment. Overarching themes in Rossi's writings include the importance of designing spaces for physical activity and the urgent need for creating and maintaining infrastructure that improves youth mental and overall health. Rossi serves as co-founder of KALM Living, an infrastructural health equity research, design and build firm, and is working with the American Medical Association on exploring minoritized physician spaces and well-being. Rossi is a Ph.D. student in Community Health and Health Policy at CUNY School of Public Health and is the leader of Sanctuario, an Afro-Latin-inspired music and dance collective.
