About Mirle

Rabinowitz Bussell's research focuses on affordable housing, homelessness, local community development, and the role of philanthropy in community economic development. She specializes in applied research that bridges theory and practice and has engaged in research collaborations with numerous nonprofit and public sector organizations across the San Diego region. She is the founding faculty director of the Homelessness Hub at UC San Diego, a non-partisan hub for research, education, policy, and action on homelessness. Its research team conducts critical, unbiased and data-driven research in order to inform local policy and action aimed at reducing homelessness.
