About Lisa

Hayward Watt's work focuses on increasing the benefits of environmental and occupational health research for society. She does this by focusing on community engagement in science and research and on translating research for target audiences. Overarching themes in Hayward Watt's writings are conservation; climate; contanimants; education; and policy. Hayward Watts serves the University of Washington (UW) Superfund Research Program and the Interdisciplinary Center for Exposures; Diseases; Genomics and Environment. She has also worked with the Center for Creative Conservation and the Quinault Indian Nation to develop a story map of sea level rise.

Examines off-highway vehicle use and its effect on northern spotted owl stress and mating. Finds that owls near noisy roads produce significantly fewer offspring in the long-term.
