About Kimberly

Dr. Allen’s research focuses on parenting, family life coaching, youth development, and healthy familial relationships. Overarching themes in Allen’s writings include best practices for serving families, helping families thrive, reaching families through distance education, and reaching underserved audiences. Allen serves as Chair of the Family Life Coaching Association and has served in board roles on the National Parenting Education Network and the NC Parenting Education Network and was named a University Scholar and Faculty Fellow for Distance Education at NCSU.
