About Gina

Lovasi's research focuses on neighborhood characteristics that encourage physical activity and other healthy behaviors; foster social engagement and psychosocial resilience; and support cardiovascular health and other aspects of healthy aging. Overarching themes in Lovasi's writings are that conventional wisdom and good intentions are not enough -- to realize health and equity benefits from policy and built environment change we also need to synthesize the evidence, systematically collect data, and stay open to new insights and synergies if we are to effectively advance urban health. Lovasi Co-Directs the Urban Health Collaborative at Drexel.
