About Carol
MacGregor serves as the Vice President Academic and Dean of St. Jeromes University affiliated with the University of Waterloo. Prior to that she was the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs and an Associate Professor of Sociology; at Loyola University New Orleans. MacGregor obtained her PhD in Sociology from Princeton University and her research on Catholic K-12 education; religious non-affiliation and religion and civic engagement; has appeared in journals including American Catholic Studies; American Sociological Review; Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion; and Social Science Research.

Finds that while being raised non-religious was once predictive of attending college that relationship has reversed over the last 30 years such that those raised without a religious affiliation are now less likely to attend college.
