Testimony Before the United States District Court Northern District of Alabama Southern Division

Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1746, I, Bridgett King, make the following declaration:
My name is Bridgett King, and I reside in Opelika, Alabama. I have been asked by attorneys for the plaintiffs in this litigation to examine the history of race discrimination in voting in Alabama, and the impact that racial discrimination has on the ability of Black voters in Alabama to participate equally in the political process and elect candidates of their choice. The analysis that follows is based on my expertise as a political and social scientist. I have employed the standard methodology used in my field of expertise in this declaration.
