About Carol-Armelle

Carol-Armelle Ze-Noah joined SSN in September 2020 as the Reproductive Health and Rights Fellow. She is a researcher intrigued by the intersections of race, gender, and democracy; namely, the interlocking experiences and political practices of Black women. The thrust of her work to date interrogates the access to and affordability of reproductive care in underserved communities across the U.S. Her current projects center knowledge about self-managed abortion in the U.S. and Black women’s experiences as leaders of conservative movements, respectively. Carol is a distinguished graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and holds degrees in Government, African and African Diaspora Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies.
